Coulombââ¬â¢s Law Essay
ABSTRACT Performing this experimentation will allow one to investigate the relationship quantitative relationship between the electrostatic force and the distance between charged objects. First a simply observation was made of the electrical forces on two pieces of tape taking note of their attraction and repulsion. This same phenomenon was observed in the experimentation of two charged spheres. Furthermore the we used this experimentation to determine the magnitude of the electrical force between charged objects through video analysis. Derived from our data we have resulted that the forced acting is dependent upon the distance for the forces to act at an exponential rate of .04microcoulombs. OBJECTIVE We will note coulombs law by observing examination of forces in static equilibrium to determine the magnitude of the electrical force between charged objects. PROCEDURE Using the Logger Pro we track the electrostatic force between two charged spheres and the magnitude generated by the repulsion. RESULTS Data was not signed but sent to Doctor Wijesinghe upon completion in lab with analysis of results found. Synopsis sent was agreed to by all lab members. DATA ANLYSIS From the data gather we seen that the force generated increases exponentially at rate of 0.04microcoulombs. The intial data was to dissect the distance the spheres moved due the forces acting upon them in by allowing X to be the hanging sphere and X2 to be the probing sphere in a distance field in of 1m. To calculate this value the following equations were used: Fe=Kq1xq2/r2 Abs(X)-Abs(X2)= CC Fe=mg sinâËâ sinâËâ=x/l Fe=mgx/l DISCUSSION The force will be dependent upon the sizes of the charges, and their separation. In fact the force follows an inverse square law, and is very similar in form to Newtonââ¬â¢s Law of Universal Gravitation. It is known as Coulombââ¬â¢s law. The form is exactly the same as Newtonââ¬â¢s law of universal gravitation; in particular, it is an inverse-square law. This force can be attractive or repulsive. The magnitude of the force can be calculated by this equation, and the direction should be obvious from the signs of the interacting charges. (Actually, if you include the signs of the charges in the equation, then whenever you get a negative answer for the force, there is an attraction, whereas a positive answer indicates repulsion).Although the law is formulated for point charges, it works equally well for spherically symmetric charge distributions. In the case of a sphere of charge, calculations are done assuming all the charge is at the centre of the sphere. In all realistic cases, the electric force between 2 charges objects absolutely dwarfs the gravitational force between them.

Museum Visit
The museum was a safe haven for housing art and historical facts of the many cultures all round the world. The Creation Stories at the Michael Carols Museum were fascinating and interesting. My favorite was the ââ¬Å"God Spoke the Earth: Stories of Genesis in Prints and Drawingsâ⬠. The exhibition was narratives from the book of Genesis. Marc Chloral born in 1889 was a F-ranch artist who traveled to Palestine after a 1930. His work was to illustrate stories from the Old Testament. His Jewish heritage lined up with his immediate connection to the Holy Land. There were many in the Holy Land that spoke his native Yiddish and Russian. His lithograph, The Bible II, found in his 2nd series was an expression to accentuate a narrative to the creation story. The painting was that of blues, grays and subtle yellows that evoked the sense of light, water, earth and life emerging but of the firmament. Chloral depicts Adam pulling the forbidden fruit rather than Eve. His painting put emphasis into the virtues of womanhood and female figures. The female images appear in almost every image of the painting. At this time was Chloral's first exploration into art in a Biblical expression, Hitler came to power over Germany. The Nazi party opposed the work of Chloral and deemed it as a threat to the Western violation. Chloral had a lot at stake being an artist from France exploring Jewish theories. Due to the disapproval, Chloral had to flee to the United States and by the help of an American journalist; he was able to obtain forged Visas to make the journey to the United States. John Waddled Barnes, American artist, born in 1921 and deceased in 2008.His illustrations were in pen and ink wash. His artwork was of the story of Joseph. The art on display was his pieces that reflected the different pieces of Josephs story such as; Jacob interprets the moon devoting son, Joseph, Jacob consoles Rachel, Joseph awake after wedding night, Joseph tries on the coat, Joseph tells dream, Jose ph sojourn in the well, Traveling merchants rescue Joseph, Joseph before the Sphinx, The ladies party, Joseph feels from Potash's wife, Joseph interprets the dream, Meeting of Jacob and Joseph in Egypt. The artwork is beautiful with dark and light colors. The paintings are like sketching that have expressions very felt by the viewer. ââ¬Å"Birth of Cainâ⬠was an engraving piece of art by a Dutch artist, Adrian Collars (1560-?1618). This artwork was at a time were the Protestant Reform in North Europe was occurring. The Council of Trend convened between 1545-?1563 in discussing the reform of the Catholic Church. The key topic was on sacred images being permissible only if it didn't mislead or corrupt the viewer. In an order for an imagery to be accepted it should encourage the viewer devotion in connection to scripture. The scenes of Genesis depicted a hard life of God's creations Adam and Eve. The art was to allow the viewer to experience the agony and hardship that Adam and Eve endured outside of paradise. This reflected God's punishment which was painful birth, short life spent in a dangerous and inhospitable land. The ewer was also made aware of the first time an act of violence and malice in the story of Able being murdered by his own brother Cain. Collars wanted the viewer to mediate and have a sense of responsibility and loss that Adam and Eve felt as a result of sin.John Martin (1789-?1854) fourth series print, Adam and Eve hearing the Judgment of the Almighty, was a Mezzanine from 1831. Martin took a series of prints illustrated from the Bible in an effort to repeat the series from that of John Million's Paradise Lost. Adam and Eve were rebuked by God represented by rays of light shining from trees at the right: Have you eaten from the tree of which commanded you not to eat? â⬠(Gene. 1) The Seated Buddha of India Peak period was in black stone. It represented touching the earth calling upon the earth goddess as witness to his ability to attai n enlightenment. The tree above his halo is a branch of the Booth tree under which he has reached the final stage of spiritual advancement. His throne is a typical lion's throne which reflects two lions and an elephant at the base. The Egyptian coffin lid was beautifully detailed. It was from the Egyptian dynasty of 1190- 1075 BC- The coffin was of wood, geese, pigment bronze, calcite (Egyptian alabaster). This was uniquely carved. The artist was very artistic in all aspects of the facial features and the perfect carved hands.Tablet with an account Of a Deluge was from the late Babylonian period of 1699-?1600 BC, Nipper Mesopotamia, of clay. The lower portion of the fragment of the clay tablet was written in Sumerian cruciform script and it relates to a tale of flood that destroyed mankind and it's parallel to the story of Noah in the Bible. I found it fascinating that it reads; ââ¬Å"A flood will I send which will affect all mankind at once. But seek the deliverance before the floo d breaks forth for over all living beings. However, many there are will I bring annihilation, destruction and ruin.

Cognitive Development And Erikson s Stages Of Human...
For the second assignment I chose option two: psychology your way. During this quarter we learned about different theories like, Piaget s theory of the 5 stages of cognitive development and Erikson s stages of human development. I wanted to show how we learn, and behave differently at different ages. For a few years now, I ve been helping teach dance classes at my studio, and I thought that showing how we teach different age levels would be a good way to tie dance and psychology together. Because there are so many styles of dance I chose to only look at one style. For this assignment I chose to look at all levels of ballet classes, from ages 3-18. The reason why I chose ballet is because, there are major differences between how we teach a beginner level class starting at a young age, and an advanced level class. To clearly show the different teaching methods, I picked a number of classes, covering every level my studio offers. After, I asked permission to film and observe each of the se classes. Over the period of one week, I filmed each class and carefully observed how each class was taught. Some of the things I payed close attention to were things like: the duration of each class, what moves were taught/how they were taught, and how the teacher spoke to the students. Starting with a class of 3-4 year olds, I noticed that we use a lot of fun music and props. Judas by Lady Gaga free essay sample
In the song ââ¬Å"Judasâ⬠written by Lady Gaga, is a story of love. The theme of the song seems to be love sickness and obsession with a bad boy. The girl seems to have fallen for a boy who is against every moral that she has set for herself and for this reason she is having trouble living with herself, but is unsure of how to live without this boy. The girl is also betrayed over and over again and still forgives continuously. This song can be related to many of the relationships we see today. In the first real stanza of this song, the composer begins to make biblical connections. You can see this when she says: ââ¬Å"When he comes to me I am ready/ Iââ¬â¢ll wash his feet with my hair if he needs.â⬠What most people donââ¬â¢t know is that this is referring to Luke, Chapter 7. We will write a custom essay sample on Judas by Lady Gaga or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page In the chapter, a woman who has sinned many times and that is looked down upon by many goes to Jesusââ¬â¢ feet and begs for forgiveness. The woman begins to cry, her tears wet his feet, she then wipes his feet with her hair to dry them, she continues by kissing his feet and applying the ointment that she had. Jesus forgives the woman. In this song, she realizes that she will need to beg for forgiveness and ââ¬Å"wash his feet with her hair if he needsâ⬠but she will still do what is wrong, even though she knows itââ¬â¢s wrong. In the next line she says, ââ¬Å"Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain. Even after three times he betrays me.â⬠In these lines, you can see the story of betrayal. The next biblical connection is made in that when Judas is asked if he knows Jesus he replies that he doesnââ¬â¢t, he does this three times. The third time that Jesus is denied, a crow calls. The chorus gives what I believe to be a better definition of the song meaning. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m just a Holy Fool, oh baby heââ¬â¢s so cruel/ But Iââ¬â¢m still in love with Judas, baby/ Iââ¬â¢m just a Holy Fool, oh baby heââ¬â¢s so cruel/ But Iââ¬â¢m still in love with Judas, baby.â⬠In the chorus, she talks about how much she is in love with ââ¬Å"Judasâ⬠and how she knows she is wrong, therefore, she is calling herself a ââ¬Å"Holy Foolâ⬠. She feels like her lover is being cruel to her, but really all he is doing is being himself. It is just ââ¬Å"Judasâ⬠nature to be the way his is. The girl knows this but she canââ¬â¢t help but loving him and for this reason he is cruel. I believe the definition of this song is brought to life through these words. The girl continues loving the boy even though she knows it is wrong, we can see this in these lines.ââ¬Å"I couldnââ¬â¢t love a man so purely/ Even prophets forgave his crooked way.â⬠In these lines, you can also see that she is deeply in love, she is telling herself that if Jesus can forgive Judas, then she can forgive her lover too. There are two types of love in this song, the good kind that the girl wished for all her life and then the bad kind which she fell into with ââ¬Å"Judasâ⬠. You can see the two types of love in these lines: Iââ¬â¢ve learned love is like a brick you can/ Build a house or sink a dead body.â⬠In these lines love that works is being compared with love that doesnââ¬â¢t. With love that works, you can build a house, or have a family and have a very happy, healthy, and for some people, exciting life. Love that doesnââ¬â¢t work can kill you, make you suicidal, or convince you to make bad decisions that you normally wouldnââ¬â¢t make if your mind wasnââ¬â¢t clouded with the ââ¬Å"badâ⬠love. The girl is willing to live with her decisions which leads us to the next lines. ââ¬Å"In the most Biblical sense,/ I am beyond repentance/ Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind.â⬠In these lines, the girl is referring to herself as a prostitute and an overall person that she doesnââ¬â¢t want to be. The thought of forgiving herself is just not going to be an option to her, but she still knows she has to live with who she is because she cannot live without the person she is in love with. Here, the song adds what I believe to be new information. New information that suggests that the girl may have been in love with two men and is just arguing with herself on which man she wants to choose. One man being a bad boy (Judas) and the other being a good boy who is compared to Jesus. Something is pulling her away from the good boy even though she knows that should love him instead of the bad boy, Judas. You can see this when she says: ââ¬Å"I wanna love you,/But somethingââ¬â¢s pulling me away from you/ Jesus is my virtue,/Judas is the demon I cling to/ I cling to.â⬠It seems that she wants to choose what is right, which may be a good boy, but in the end, she knows that the bad boy is the only one who is right for her. In the end, she continues back to talking about herself and how she is upset with the choices she has made with her life, but there is nothing she can do because she is in love, you can see this again in these lines: ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m just a Holy Fool, oh baby heââ¬â¢s so cruel/But Iââ¬â¢m still in love with Judas, baby/ Iââ¬â¢m just a Holy Fool, oh baby heââ¬â¢s so cruel/ But Iââ¬â¢m still in love with Judas, baby.â⬠When she moves back to these lines, this gives the overall effect that she is still deeply in love with the bad boy Judas and there is nothing she, or anyone else can do about it. This song shows not just the perfect side of love, it shows both sides of love. The song is a true definition falling in love, you are in so deep that you donââ¬â¢t seem to care if you are damaging yourself, your morals, or anything else in your life. Your whole life revolves around one person no matter how much you donââ¬â¢t want it to.
